These pictures were all taken in Spring/early Summer. The frog was taken in my parents garden and is an example of using
a low angle of view to add impact to the picture.
In early July a trip to the Farne Islands, Northumbria, increased my seabird portfolio considerably. The weather
was generally overcast, but this did bring out much detail in the pictures. This is a small selection of pictures - I
was particularly pleased with the shot of the guillemot in the rain as it different to most photographs.
I was working near Macclesfield during the Summer so visited the Peak District and also went up to Yorkshire to photograph
Red Grouse. The latter was very successful as I found a very tame bird and the following pictures were the result. I also
liked the Goosander shot - a mist kept rolling down the river which created an atmospheric picture.
During October I visited the New Forest for a few mornings to photograph red deer. The effect of the mist on one morning and then
the frost on another provided a nice set of images.
