Images from 2001


These pictures represent my work from the summer through to the end of December 2001. These first pictures taken in the summer were all taken in the New Forest. All but the deer were taken on the same day. The deer was part of the herd fed at Boldrewood Drive and was taken from the public viewing point.

I wanted to increase my butterfly portfolio during the summer and took all these at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust reserve of Noar Hill. After an initial recce I was particularly interested in the marbled whites as they were very common on this reserve. I would recommend visiting Noar Hill for butterflies.

The autumn saw me concentrating on fungi pictures and I was very pleased with the results. Here is a small selection...
